Crooks & Castles brand works with Drake’s marketing team to produce the “Your Crooks Welcome” tee, but really Crooks? Hopping on the coat tails of “this years most anticipated rap album” by taking the already bland cover art, which appears to have been designed by Chinese bootleggers, and simply slapping your logo inside of it. Yeah, It’s a way to make a fast buck, but is it a good look for your brand? More after the jump…
With some promising designs and looks for this summer, as well as the dropping of their new shoe line, it surprises me that the ever growing CROOKS brand took such a dull approach to the promotion and commemoration of their “homie” Drake’s freshman album “Thank Me Later”. A couple of days ago we saw ALIFE preview a Drake tee of their own, but far less tacky. ALIFE showed their support and still managed to keep their image and style strong. As it stands ALIFE-1 CROOKS-0.
