Atmos-Tokyo shoes boutique and clothing/footwear brand UBIQ collaborate to bring you the Fall/Winter Fatima shoe. The shoe boasts a hybrid boat shoe/chukka boot style and is being released in a warm brown leather as well as black leather with both featuring fluorescent colored accents. Play Cloths Fall 2010 Preview

With Play Cloths being one of the top streetwear brands of this year and last- they give us a sneak peak into their line for next season, and it definitely wasn’t what we expected. Straying away from their signature/bold red and blue attire, blazoned with plenty of their running boy logo. We see a simple black and white theme. With an all black shirt, hoodie, shorts, and bandana displaying a simple “PLAY” motif. It almost feels like a trip back to the mid nineties when “Urban” brands were rising in the fashion world, and were using their clothes as walking billboards with their name loud and clear on ever piece of clothing. BRANDED: RUKRU Clothing

Rukru (pronounced roo-crew) is a new brand based out of L.A. who simply “Respect The Trade”. And oh, don’t they do it so beautifully? With the recent release of their premier line it’s apparent these cats are not fucking around. In a growing culture, and in an extremely saturated city, full of prospective newborn brands, making a name for yourself and your brand becomes much harder. Regardless, Rukru comes out of the corner swinging. putting quality and design before revenue: a great message, dope designs, and a drive to reach the top-Rukru has all the tools it takes to make that name shine above the rest, and to make that name respected throughout the streetwear world. OBEY x Strange Co. "Mr. Spray" Toy

Today’s reigning king of street art, Shepard Fairey, teams up with Vinyl Toy company Strange Co. to release the fully 3rd dimensional, 100% play-withable version of “Mr. Spray”. A character designed as a 50’s homage to the graffiti roots of OBEY. A character making it’s first appearance in 2004, and a few years later released as a shirt-Mr. Spray looks to be A fun dude, with a rebellious smirk, and a pair of shell-toe Adidas. The Week of Kanye West

This past week has been a crazy one here at StreetLifestyle. With projects coming in at alarming rates we try our best to keep you updated with the latest in the streetwear world. Though we are not a music blog by any means, we felt we should bring you the new shit that has been keeping our heads bobbing, and nothing is getting us more hyped than all the new appearances of the previously absent Mr. West. From his performance of his new single “Power” at the BET awards: Kanye’s return to the spotlight. To the two new tracks dropped featuring verses by Ye: what we needed to show us he is back in the rap game. This past week has had many exciting moments for us Kanye fans. With rumors of his upcoming album, unofficially titled “Good Ass Job” taking it back to hip-hop “boom bap” roots-we were all excited to hear even just a bar from the Chicago rapper, but he did a good job of keeping everything under wraps. The hype would continue to build as the only news regarding his new music came from tweets from close friends of West, but the suspense was well worth it. Kanye came out with a strong and artistic performance of his previously leaked track “Power” and we heard him drop some new bars on Cudi’s new single “Erase Me” as well as Rick Ross’s “Live Fast, Die Young”. Needless to say- old Kanye is back, and is killing it on the mic. After all that went down the past year, we are sure Kanye has plenty of things to say, and we can’t wait to hear them.

Yeezy Performs "Power" Live

After a break from the spotlight Mr. Kanye West makes a triumphant and theatrical return this past Sunday by opening the 2010 BET awards with his upcoming single “power”. If you are a Kanye fan then you probably have been bumping the “power” leak for the past couple of weeks. An epic and haunting track filled with pop-culture and emotion charged lyrics, reminiscent of an old Kanye West we haven’t seen since before 808’s & Heartbreak. Upon his long-awaited return to the hip-hop world Mr. West adorns a 1 foot tall Horus pendant and four-finger pyramid ring that turns T-pains “big ass chain” into a big ass shame. Euro Sunglass brand SUPER releases a leather wrapped flattop pair of sunglasses in 3 colorways ranging from light brown, to dark brown, and black. A cool and luxurious move but our here in the South Western heat all I can imagine is someone with sunglass shaped scolding marks around their eye sockets. Bad news. Mishka x Adio "Vengeance" Sneaker

Mishka teams up with veteran skate brand Adio to produce the “Vengeance” sneaker. A vulcanized skate shoe model reminiscent of the vans half-cab but features, “a triple stitched toe piece, perforated side panel, a custom label package with Mishka lace detail and a durable cup sole”, and obviously the bright blue and pink colorway which isn’t surprising considering Mishka is behind the wheel. Levi Maestro, of the Maestro Knows blog series, is a skyrocketing name in the blogging and fashion worlds. A seemingly unknown name just over a year ago-Maestro put in work and found huge success with his blog and video series. Now on season 3 of his inspirational “vlogs” Maestro is nearly a household, or should I say “homepage”, name. Within his busy life of traveling the world, meeting crazy cool cats, and talking about those experiences, he found time to design his first public project with Los Angeles based jeweler Shayan Afshar.
